APRIL 2015

April dawned within all its springtime splendor. Avonlea's spring church picnic commenced the activities for this newly blossoming season. Held on the lawn of the distinguished White Sands Hotel, the picnic saw many lovely moments among the families and individuals of Avonlea. Felicity King challenged Gus and Felix to a rematch in the three-legged race except with newcomer Virginia McRae as her partner. And let's just say...the score is now even. Meanwhile, Virginia and Andrew King are closer than ever and are now friends and kindred spirits. They have found much in common and have shared several talks together.

Felix found a common ground with that of newcomer Chef Pierre La Pierre. Sampling various foreign dishes, Felix has aspirations that far surpass what anyone could have assumed of the young lad. Furthermore, the White Sands Hotel's ownership has been assumed by Simon Tremayne, a stern yet clever Scotsman whose temper matches that of his passion to see the White Sands succeed and be the best he can be. And although Gus has had much success so far, Aunt Hetty's clever reasoning secured a position for Gus at the opulent established despite Mr. Tremayne's strong apprehension.

With Roger King's return to Avonlea, he visited with his family and enjoyed getting reacquainted with his son Andrew. And upon Roger's desire to return to South America to continue his geological works, he revealed to his son that he wanted Andrew to go back with him. The news was not entirely welcome to Andrew. But wanting to be with his father, he consents and will be leaving the island soon. Virginia McRae did not take this news very well.

Plans are being made and the date for Olivia and Jasper's wedding is approaching very briskly. Aunt Hetty is adrift with a furry of planning and Avonlea is ready to celebrate the coming of two momentous weddings. First is that of Gilbert Blythe and Anne Shirley's wedding. Then soon after is the wedding of Olivia and Jasper to commence.

JANUARY TO MARCH 2015

(coming soon)

NOVEMBER TO DECEMBER 2014

Drama ascended first thing in November as Felicity, Sara, and Gus traversed the dangerous shores and caves of PEI to secure their search and discovery of the very much sought after treasure. Upon being vastly disappointed by Aunt Hetty and Janet's goose chases, Felicity and Sara were more than willing to follow Gus into the unknown for a bit of adventure and some actual real treasure. Meanwhile, Andrew's father Roger King made a surprise visit to Avonlea and has been residing with his family since then. Some friction between father and son has set in since Roger tends to be more focused on work than his family. In other matters, Andrew has formed a rather strong liking towards newcomer Virginia McRae. And Felix King has ensured that he teases him about it. Yet Andrew denies it every time. Back at the shores, after a daring and frightening ordeal with Captain Crane's archenemy Borden, Felicity and Sara feared for Gus as he attempted to save the life of Captain Crane whom they assumed to have been killed. Gus discovered otherwise and found it hard to say goodbye to the Captain for certain this time. Captain Crane then gave Gus the task of keeping the beautiful lighthouse as his very own home. He then gave Gus the most precious Ruby ring that was supposedly the ring of Gus' late mother. Reunited, Felicity remained in awe of the item as did Sara. The twosome then danced amid Gus' resounding fiddle as they remained ever joyous for the outcome of their adventurous ordeal. It wasn't too long after that without warning, Janet went into labor, and Avonlea welcomed its newest citizen into the world, baby Daniel King. And Felicity was an immense and immediate help by fainting, leaving all the worry to young Sara to handle.

After the passing of a few weeks, Avonlea became abuzz once again with the heralding of a Christmas Party led in idea by Miss Muriel Stacey. Among other things, this party was also a surprise to celebrate the engagement of Gilbert Blythe and Anne Shirley. And on such a night of preparatory experimenting on Felicity's part, sleigh bells were heard outside the King home which led to an impromptu sleigh ride in the quiet of the winter night between Gus and Felicity.

With the coming winter months comes the anticipation of annual hockey matches. Therefore, Andrew and Felix have set forth to practice as much as they can to be sure Alec's new Avonlea team will be the Gillises team hands down. Although victory is slim, hope is not in Avonlea. Much new change, adventure, and stories will unfold in the new year to come that will result in no dull moments to be sure!

AUGUST TO OCTOBER 2014

ON HIATUS WITH MINIMAL ACTIVITY IN OCTOBER AS WE ARE EASING OUT OF OUR UNPLANNED BREAK PERIOD OF TIME

JULY 2014

Mystery continued to beset many a wary citizen of Avonlea including our beloved King family as we entered a new month of adventure. Felix was especially wary of Ezekiel Crane and the rumors of him and frequently posed frightening scenarios to his siblings. Dominion Day dawned bright as ever and ended in array of fireworks celebration traditionally on the shores of Prince Edward Island where nearly all of Avonlea gathered for the night's festivities! Excitement seemed to blossom even then when upon the call for the three-legged race, Felicity and Sara teamed up against Sally Potts and Jane Spry in a bet. Felix and Gus took the win leaving Felicity to give up her best dress to Sally Potts when she and Sara came in third to Sally and Jane's second place finish. In the meantime, it most likely went unnoticed by most of Avonlea that Felicity chose to enjoy the fireworks with Sara, Aunt Olivia, and Aunt Hetty...which was quite close to where Gus, Felix, and Andrew enjoyed them as well. Soon after during that following week, Felicity enjoyed a leisurely walk among the wind driven hills near the lighthouse where Gus Pike played a lovely tune which was heard by her attentive ears. Furthermore, much activity still stirred concerning the rum-runners which brought Felix, Felicity, and Sara into a search for these low criminals. And upon their searching of the cemetery and Felicity's taste confirmation of the contents found there, they confirmed that perhaps there was indeed unsettling activity on the island. Secretly, Gus' future hangs in the balance as he has now met his father Abe Pike and is currently being pursued by both him and many a citizen who assumes him to be a part of the rum-runners.

Felix and Andrew were all but friends when a stirring argument ensued over who was truly the recipient of Grandpa King's fishing basket which had been promised to Felix but given to Andrew by Aunt Hetty. After a week or so of fighting and literally fighting, Andrew and Felix called a truce and Andrew gave up the basket filled with brand new fishing supplies only after he managed to salvage and repair the item due to its falling into the river when Felix and Andrew's fists found each others faces. Meanwhile, Andrew's attention was turned elsewhere when a new girl arrived in Avonlea by the name of Virginia Anne McRae. Virginia is beginning to fit in to the community well as she and her mother are still in the process of finding permanent lodgings in Avonlea.

Most recently have the lives of our young people been occupied by preparations for the Harvest Festival. Memories of last year's event were still forward in the minds of Felicity, Sara, Sally Potts, and Clemmie Ray. But all had seemed to go quite smoothly at this year's Harvest Festival.

Winter is setting in briskly this year! Yet things have been quiet for our characters during their summer and fall months. But I have a feeling that they won't be that way for very much longer!

BEGINNING UNTIL JUNE 2014

Since our first days as a group, we have welcomed Sara Stanley as a permanent citizen of Avonlea after retracing vaguely the episodes of season one. We have thus dove deeper into Avonlea's adventures. Felicity King experienced the trials of growing up and unrequited love when a crush on cricket player David Hawes turned detrimental and nearly jeopardized her newfound friendship with farm hand Gus Pike. Avonlea thus welcomed charming Gus Pike into the community only after a brief ordeal with Hetty King and Miss Muriel Stacy caused Gus to realize just how much the island and the people here means to him. Hetty's old flame Romney Penthallow paid a begrudging visit to Prince Edward Island in attendance of a family member's wedding. Hetty and Romney renewed their friendship as did Romney become pleasantly reacquainted with the wonderful island that was once his home. But illness soon took Romney away from the island and Hetty would treasure the renewed friendship struck between her and her old flame. But old flames were yet to be forgotten! For Olivia King was soon surprised by the visit of her near fiancĂ© Edwin Clark. Meanwhile, Jasper Dale struggled to show Olivia just how much he loves her. The children though came to the rescue in hopes of lighting a flame between Olivia and Jasper. But despite the children efforts, the best man, Jasper Dale, truly did win Olivia's heart and Edwin Clark's true colors were revealed. Furthermore, a fast friendship has thus been forged between Gus, Sara, Felix, and Felicity. Many adventures among this foursome are yet to unfold! And even now they find themselves in the midst of a mystery having to do with the "mad" Ezekiel Crane. Gus has found work and lodging with the mysterious sea-faring man, and has begun to discover more of his past. Meanwhile, Rachel Lynde and the citizens of Avonlea are working to track down eliminate the guise and intentions of rum-runners across the island. Captain Crane seems to be on their suspect list while the children proceed to investigate "ghosts" and the mysteries unfolding around them.
